I wish there was some kind of button that I could push and it would allow me to unlove you. It would make things easier for me. I wouldn’t have spontaneous moments where I think about you and want to die. It would make the process of moving on faster. I wouldn’t ever be hurt by you again even if we are no longer together. I’d be happy.But that’s the thing once you love someone, you can’t unlove them no matter how hard you try. When you love someone, they stick with you for the rest of your life. You will always have a space in my heart.
You know, I don’t believe the saying “There is no past tense in loving someone. Either you do, or you never did.” See, that doesn’t register with my brain. And I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong. But I think that after you’re done wrong so many countless times, and after they’ve decided over and over to throw your heart away, I think all that love that once existed is put to some good use. By good use, I mean to the right person. To the person that’s really been waiting there for a long time. The person that won’t treat you the way you were treated. Then you won’t have to take any of that love back. After all, you won’t want to.
If he misses you, he’ll call just to hear your voice. If he wants you, he’ll say it. And if he cares, he’ll show it. If he has a thought about you, it will come out of his mouth. If you are on his mind non stop, he will do anything he can just to see you. If he truly likes you, he won’t let anything get in the way and fight back just to keep you in his arms. If not, he’s not worth your time because you’re obviously not worth his.
